GRANT TRIMS SQUAD TO 26 AHEAD OF MOROCCO CLASH

Zambia head coach Avram Grant has trimmed his squad to 26 players ahead of Monday’s crucial FIFA World Cup Group E qualifier against Morocco at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Injury Setbacks

The Chipolopolo will be without Frankie Musonda and Kelvin Kampamba, who have both been ruled out due to injury. Musonda, who plies his trade in Bahrain, and Kampamba of Zesco United, were initially part of the call-up but medical assessments confirmed they would not be fit to feature against the Atlas Lions.

Other players left out of the squad include Abraham Siankombo, Saddam Phiri, Mwenya Chibwe, and Killian Kanguluma.

Full House in Camp

Despite the withdrawals, Grant now has a full complement of players available for selection, with all summoned stars having reported for duty. The coach is expected to further trim the squad to 24 in the final stages of preparations.
