Infantino Congratulated Keith Mweemba on FAZ Presidency

FIFA President Gianni Infantino congratulated Keith Mweemba on his election as the new president of the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ). In a letter dated May 11, 2025, Infantino extended his warm greetings and pledged FIFA’s full support to the newly elected leader.

Infantino stated that Mweemba’s knowledge, leadership, passion, and experience would have a significant impact on the growth of football in Zambia. He assured him of his personal support and that of FIFA in developing the sport in the country.

He further expressed that the doors of FIFA would remain open for discussions concerning the development and values of football. Infantino also extended his congratulations to the newly elected Vice-President, Mutale Ng’andu, and the rest of the FAZ Executive Committee, wishing them success in building a lasting legacy for Zambian football.

Keith Mweemba was elected FAZ President on Friday during the reconvened elective Annual General Meeting held in Kabwe.
