Nkana Football Club Announces Technical Bench Adjustments

Nkana Football Club has confirmed significant changes to its technical bench as part of internal restructuring measures aimed at strengthening the club’s competitiveness.


Head Coach Mwenya Chipepo and First Assistant Coach Christopher Katongo have been placed on administrative leave with full pay and benefits pending the conclusion of internal processes. The club described the move as procedural, intended to allow management to address internal matters without disruption.


In the interim, Elijah Tana has been appointed as Interim Head Coach. He will be assisted by Josephat Nkhoma as First Assistant Coach and Donashano Malama as Second Assistant Coach. Michael Poto will continue in his role as Goalkeeper Coach.


At developmental level, Simon Bwalya, Head Coach of Young Nkana, will take on additional responsibilities as Senior Team Physical Trainer, while Kelvin Chabala assumes leadership of Young Nkana.


In the women’s setup, Laston Kangwa remains Head Coach of Nkana Girls, assisted by Esther Mulenga.


Club Chief Executive Officer Mwansa Kapyanga stated that management believes the changes are necessary at this time and are in the best interests of the club to ensure continued competitiveness. He assured the technical bench of full support during the transition.


The club indicated that further updates will be communicated in due course.
