Kundananji, reflecting on her new role, shared that she was deeply honored by the appointment. She mentioned that growing up in Zambia, she witnessed the challenges faced by many, particularly youth, in dealing with HIV/AIDS, maternal health issues, and sexually transmitted infections. She reiterated her commitment to using her platform to raise awareness, educate, and advocate for meaningful change in combating HIV/AIDS. She also highlighted her determination to support those affected through her foundation.

As a UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador, Kundananji joins a prestigious group that includes Victoria Beckham, Kenneth Cole, Naomi Watts, and Crown Princess Mette-Marit of Norway. It has been reported that she will participate in UNAIDS campaigns, attend events as her schedule permits, and maintain an active social media presence to bridge the gap between global awareness and local action.

Kundananji’s appointment is seen as a significant step in ensuring the fight against HIV/AIDS remains a global priority.
