Zambia will look to bounce back from their Match Day One defeat to Malawi when they face Comoros in their second COSAFA Cup Group B match this afternoon at the King Zwelithini Stadium.

Coach Moses Sichone has declared his charges ready for the crucial and must-win encounter against Comoros.

He said his charges were seeking to rebound after their patchy start against the Flames and will be hoping to revive their campaign with a positive result today.

"We have talked to the boys after a defeat in the first game. We have talked about the mistakes we made in the game against Malawi and we hope to do better against Comoros than we did in the first game," Sichone said.

"Playing against a team coming into the game on the back of the win, there is always pressure in any game but we just have to be prepared and play according to the plan and hope we get the positive results. The team needs to be confident and believe in themselves, especially those that will be in the starting line-up. Players need to show that they deserve to be promoted to the main national team."

Sichone also said he understood the disappointment of the fans after the defeat to Malawi, but he urged them to continue supporting the team.

"I know the fans are disappointed about losing to Malawi, especially that it's been long since we last lost to Malawi, I don't remember the last time Malawi defeated Zambia," he said.

The gaffer is expected to ring several changes in his starting lineup with Samson Mkandawire expected to start ahead of Chepeshi, Mathews Chabala in place of veteran defender Aaron Katebe while Albert Kangwanda will start in place of Patson Kwataine.

Sichone will maintain Lawrence Mulenga in between the sticks while defenders Killian Kanguluma, Chabala, John Chishimba, and Samson Mkandawire will marshall the backline.

Kelvin Kapumbu, Kelvin Mubanga, and Fredrick Mulambia will start in the middle of the park while Libamba Moyela, Albert Kangwanda, and Golden Mashata will lead the attack.

The match kicks off at 15:00 hours and will be live on SuperSport, SABC and FIFA+ YouTube platform.
