According to reports from El Sevillista, Sevilla FC are already planning ahead for the next transfer window and have identified Patson Daka as a potential target to strengthen their attack.
The report claims that Sevilla are looking for affordable reinforcements capable of improving the squad without increasing spending significantly, with Daka’s profile said to fit the club’s requirements. The Zambian striker is reportedly expected to become a free agent when his contract with Leicester City F.C. expires on June 30, 2026.
It is understood that Daka has endured a difficult spell at Leicester City, particularly following the club’s relegation to League One, which has reportedly forced the English side to rethink its squad planning. Sevilla are believed to view the striker’s contractual situation as an opportunity to secure an experienced attacker without paying a transfer fee.
Reports further suggest that Sevilla’s technical team values Daka’s pace, movement and ability to attack space, qualities they feel could add more verticality and attacking threat to the team. The striker’s experience in European football and his ability to stretch defences are also said to be factors behind the club’s interest.
The report also notes that Sevilla see the potential free transfer as financially beneficial, allowing the club to allocate funds to other areas of the squad. However, competition for Daka’s signature is expected, with Valencia CF also reportedly monitoring the situation.
