The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has announced a mutual separation with Chipolopolo coach Avram Grant, bringing an end to his tenure as head coach of the Zambia Senior Men’s National Team.

FAZ General Secretary Machacha Shepande stated that both parties agreed to the separation in order to chart a new way forward for the Chipolopolo.

“The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has agreed to mutually separate with Zambia Senior Men’s National Team coach Avram Grant. We wish Mr. Grant the best of luck in his future endeavours,” Shepande said.

“Further details will be communicated in due course. For now, we can only thank Mr. Grant for his contribution to Zambian football.”

Grant was appointed as head coach on 22 December 2022 on a two-year deal. During his tenure, he successfully guided Zambia to back-to-back AFCON qualifications in the 2024 and 2025/26 editions, showcasing his ability to lead the team on the continental stage.
