FAZ Announces New Committee Appointments to Strengthen Football Governance

The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) has expanded its governance structure by unveiling appointments to five additional standing committees. The move is part of the association’s commitment to inclusive leadership and strengthening football administration across all levels of the game.

FAZ General Secretary Machacha Shepande emphasized that the appointments follow extensive consultations with stakeholders and reflect the executive’s vision of ensuring football is managed by qualified individuals with relevant expertise.

“As FAZ, we are pleased to announce additional appointments of members to various committees following extensive consultations with different stakeholders. These appointments reflect the FAZ executive’s commitment to including everyone who can contribute positively to our sport. Congratulations to the appointees, and we would like to remind them that there is significant work ahead to elevate our game to the next level,” Shepande said.

He added that the appointees underwent a thorough evaluation process and were deemed most suitable for their roles, with the executive pledging full support to their work.

With the new committees now fully constituted, FAZ believes the structures will facilitate the smooth management of football, ensure accountability, and drive the sport to new heights.
