Zambian international Fashion Sakala Jnr has once again spoken out about his ongoing standoff with the national team leadership. In a candid Facebook Live video on his official page today, the striker made it clear that he won’t apologize just to return to the national team—unless FAZ President Mr. Andrew Kamanga also apologizes to Coach Avram Grant.
“I won’t apologize to play for the national team unless Mr. Kamanga apologizes to the coach and to me. If he does, then I will also apologize,” Sakala declared.
The player revealed that the controversial remarks he made about Coach Grant were not made in isolation. According to him, the entire conversation was planned and approved by Mr. Kamanga beforehand.
“What I said was agreed upon with Mr. Kamanga. We discussed what I would tell Grant. I feel let down by his actions, and I’m asking—why should I be the only one to apologize?”
Sakala expressed feelings of betrayal, claiming that Mr. Kamanga distanced himself from the consequences, leaving him to bear the fallout alone.
This development adds another layer to the ongoing drama surrounding the national team. Many fans and analysts are now questioning the internal leadership dynamics and the communication breakdown that seems to be affecting team unity.
📌 Your Thoughts?Do you think Fashion Sakala is justified in demanding a joint apology? Should both parties come forward to restore peace in the national camp?
