Prayers continue to pour in for former Chelsea youth player Lamisha Musonda following reports suggesting that the 33-year-old is battling a critical health condition.
Several UK media outlets have quoted an emotional Instagram post attributed to Lamisha Musonda, the first-born son of Zambian football legend Charles Musonda, which has sparked widespread concern within the football community.
According to The Sun, Musonda shared a heartfelt message written in both English and French. In English, he wrote:

“As I realise I only have a few days left, I also realise I had a lot of people by my side and I’ll always cherish the memories.
Life is hard, but the view is great.”
The message was accompanied by heart ❤️ and prayer 🙏 emojis.
He then continued in French, opening up about the pain he has endured over the past two years:
“Life is made of highs and lows, and no one can truly understand the pain you go through.
These last two years have been particularly difficult and challenging for me. It is with great sadness that I announce that I am struggling to get my health back.”
Musonda explained that his condition was the reason behind his absence from social media, adding:
“I have to face facts – my health is critical, and I’m now fighting to survive. Your aid and prayers will be a great help during this time.
My family and I are fighting, and I won’t quit until my last breath.”
Reflecting on his life, he expressed gratitude but also sadness over the possibility of not being able to thank everyone who supported him:
“I was fortunate enough to have a beautiful early life, and I still have so much to offer.
But there are so many wonderful people who I would have loved to thank in person – and the fact I maybe won’t get the chance saddens me deeply.”
Lamisha Musonda came through Chelsea’s youth system after joining from Anderlecht and later played for several clubs before retiring from professional football in 2020.
🙏 Our prayers go out to Lamisha Musonda and the entire Musonda family during this incredibly difficult time.
