Zambian international Kings Kangwa has etched his name into history after being crowned Israeli Premier League Champion with Hapoel Be'er Sheva, helping the club secure its sixth league title and first championship in eight years.

Kangwa played a key role in Beer Sheva’s triumphant campaign, delivering outstanding performances from midfield with goals, assists and consistent displays throughout the season. His influence has now been rewarded with one of the league’s highest individual honours after being named the Israeli Premier League Best Player of the Season.

The league triumph also guarantees Beer Sheva a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League qualifiers, marking another major milestone in Kangwa’s rapidly growing European career.

The Chipolopolo star now has a chance to complete a historic domestic double when Beer Sheva takes on Maccabi Tel Aviv in the Cup Final on Tuesday. A victory would see the club achieve the first league and cup double in its history.

Kangwa’s achievements continue to raise Zambia’s profile on the international stage and place him among a select group of Zambian footballers who have enjoyed success abroad.

Notably, he becomes only the second Zambian player to win the Israeli league title after William Njobvu won it with Ironi Kiryat Shmona in 2012.

From being named Best Foreign Player last season to now earning the overall Best Player award, Kings Kangwa continues to demonstrate remarkable growth, leadership and a winning mentality at the highest level.
