With a 1–1 draw away to Comoros, the Chipolopolo lads wrapped off their Group H Africa Cup of Nations qualification campaign to take first place.
Ben Youssef's first-half strike was neutralised by a predatory strike from Patson Daka in the second half.
Zambia now has 13 points, equal with Ivory Coast BUT Chipolopolo, who have a better goal difference. The draw brought Zambia's total to 13 points.
Daka increased his goal total in the qualifications to five, solidifying his standing as a formidable forward.
Deputy High Commissioner to Tanzania Anthony Bwalya and Director of sports at the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Arts John Zulu were among the cheering fans that included FAZ president Andrew Kamanga.
The team is expected to leave for Lusaka at 08:00 hours aboard a chartered flight.
