More Chipolopolo Guns Join Camp Ahead of Morocco Clash

The Chipolopolo camp is steadily filling up as more foreign-based stars join preparations for Monday’s crucial FIFA World Cup qualifier against Morocco.
Leicester City striker Patson Daka, midfielder Emmanuel Banda (Maccabi Bnei), youngster Songa Chipyoka (Petah Tikva), utility man Benson Sakala (Bohemians), and winger Joseph Sabobo Banda (Hapoel Be’er Sheva) have all reported for national duty. Their arrival brings the number of players in camp to 18.
More call-ups are expected to arrive today, completing the list of 31 bullets summoned for the Atlas Lions assignment. Head coach Avram Grant is expected to trim the final squad to 24 players after fitness trainer Jamie Lawrence conducts physical assessments.
Zambia will host Morocco on Monday, 8 September 2025 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola, with kickoff set for 15h00.
