The Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) is deeply saddened by the passing of FAZ Copperbelt youth representative Mr. Nashawn Samuel Zulu, who died Wednesday morning after an illness at Ndola Teaching Hospitals in Ndola.

FAZ president Andrew Kamanga said Football House was in shock at the passing of Zulu, who at the time of his death was also chairperson of the Copperbelt province Technical and Youth Committee.

“On behalf the FAZ executive committee, secretariat and the entire football family, we wish to extend my deepest condolences to the football fraternity and the family on the passing of Mr Nashawn Zulu, our regional youth representative for the Copperbelt province,” Kamanga said.

Kamanga said Zulu was a passionate administrator whose youth and women football drive will forever be embedded in Zambian football history.

“We will remember Mr Zulu for his passion and commitment to developing youth and women football. We have lost a dedicated brother in sport who spared his time and resources to serve the game that we love. His commitment led to a rise in youth playing football especially with Indeni Roses which has continued to contribute players to our various national teams,” Kamanga said.

Funeral arrangements will be communicated in due time.
