Nkana Football Club has announced that it has received a judgment from the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) Player Status Committee regarding the club’s MTN Super League Week 3 fixture against Green Buffaloes, played at Nkana Stadium on 30 August 2025, which Nkana won 1-0.

According to the club, the Committee ruled to deduct three points from their victory following a complaint by Green Buffaloes FC over the registration status of striker Nduna Zulu.

Nkana officials explained that while they respect the process, they believe the decision does not reflect the professionalism and diligence with which the club conducts its operations. The club maintained that all players, including Nduna Zulu, had been duly registered, but that the issue arose from what they described as a system glitch within the FAZ registration platform.

The Kitwe giants further stated that they will be appealing the judgment to the FAZ Appeals Committee in pursuit of what they called a “fair reconsideration” of the matter. The club expressed optimism that the appeal process would result in the ruling being overturned.

In their statement, Nkana appealed to supporters and stakeholders to remain calm and united during the ongoing process, assuring fans that their unwavering support is invaluable as the team continues striving for excellence both on and off the pitch.
