Red Arrows Football Club President, Col Moses Kambimbi, on behalf of the Red Arrows Football Club Exco, profoundly conveys his sadness and heavy hearted condolences to F/Sgt Lyson Simwanda’s family on this sudden and untimely loss of a cherished member of his Exco.

Col Kambimbi has said the news of Simwanda's tragic pass on, in a car accident last night, 09 December 2023 in Northmead area, has left many of us all in shock and disbelief.

"He was not only an integral part of our Exco but also a friend and a dedicated individual whose passion for the game brought joy and inspiration to all who had the privilege of working alongside him.

His absence will be keenly felt, and the void left by his departure is immeasurable," the club president remarks.

LJ as popularly known and called, brought an unwavering commitment, infectious enthusiasm, and a sense of comradeship that enriched our Exco and contributed significantly to the success of our football initiatives.

His untimely death coincides with our Week 15 fixture against Zanaco scheduled for Sunset Stadium today Sunday at 15h00.

"As Red Arrows football Club, we will continue to remember and honor his legacy by upholding the values and dedication that he brought to our Exco, the players and technical bench," Col Kambimbi adds.

Funeral gathering is in Meanwood Kwamwena, Lusaka.

If there are friends who wish to reach out to his family and the club during this challenging time, please do not hesitate to contact Club CEO Lt Col KR Lungu on 0961587421.

His contributions will forever be etched in our hearts and remembered fondly.

With heartfelt sympathy,

For and on Behalf of Red Arrows Football Club
