ZAMBIA DRAWN IN GROUP A FOR AFCON TOURNAMENT

The stage is set for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), and Zambia’s Chipolopolo have been placed in Group A, where they will face hosts Morocco, Mali, and Comoros.
The draws, conducted last night at the iconic Mohammed V National Theatre in Rabat, revealed an exciting path for Zambia in their quest for continental glory. This group placement sets up a continued rivalry with Morocco's Atlas Lions, a team Zambia faced in the same group at the previous AFCON. The two sides are also battling it out in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers, adding another layer of intensity to their upcoming clash.
Zambia will also lock horns with Comoros and The Eagles of Mali, two teams known for their resilience and growing presence in African football.
The tournament is scheduled to take place in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026, promising a thrilling showcase of the continent’s best talent.
