ZPL Awards 3–0 Win to Konkola Blades After ZESCO United Fielded Ineligible Players

The Zambian Premier League (ZPL) has announced a disciplinary ruling regarding the Week One MTN Super League clash between ZESCO United and Konkola Blades.

According to a statement released on 20th August 2025, the league confirmed that ZESCO United had fielded ineligible players during the fixture. As a result, the outcome of the match has been overturned, with Konkola Blades being awarded a 3–0 victory.

In addition, ZESCO United has been fined K10,000, which must be paid within seven days. The club, however, has been granted the right to appeal the decision before the FAZ Disciplinary Committee.

The announcement was made by ZPL Head of Communications, Christina Zulu.
